Our 2019 Annual Scholarship Luncheon on September 12 was our most successful to date! With revenue from memberships and proceeds from the luncheon, we raised $60,000 for Re-entry Student Scholarships at Cal State Monterey Bay for the 2020-2021 academic year. This is an increase of $10,000 over the 2019-2020 academic year. In addition, thanks to a generous donor, we will distribute $10,000 (20 awards at $500 each) for Re-entry Emergency Awards for the 2019-2020 academic year.
A special thank you to our luncheon speakers: Helen Rucker, our 2019 Community Woman of Distinction, and Patterson Emesibe and Aseneth Botello, scholarship recipients.
