Second Year Experience

Second Year Goals

Our focus in the second-year surrounds financial literacy, career development, mindfulness, and identity development. The checklist below will help guide you through the challenges and achievements of the second year.

Financial Literacy: developing a budget, managing debt, building credit, and managing your student loans are among some of the financial responsibilities you are negotiating with. To better understand these topics, we suggest the following:

  • The SYE Peer Mentors host four financial literacy workshops each semester. See MyRaft for more information.
  • We can also offer these workshops to any department- please email secondyear@sye.edu to schedule a workshop.
  • Get a SYE Peer Mentor!
