Student Affairs & Enrollment Services

Dr. John Fraire is the Interim Vice President of Student Affairs. He has had extensive experience in all aspects of student services as well as enrollment mangaement, including Hispanic-serving institutions. Dr. Fraire’s appointment will extend until a national search is carried out and the position is filled on a permanent basis. 

Student Affairs encompasses many departments, programs, and services that provide an experience distinctive to California State University, Monterey Bay. Our focus is on academic success, health and wellness, student leadership, civic engagement, convenient and quality student support services, personal growth and development.

The goal of the Office of Student Affairs staff is to provide quality service to our students and all whom we serve. Our attitudes and actions not only reflect the Student Affairs professionals but that of the entire university. We recognize that our division has a direct impact on our students, and that by serving as a model of quality we are helping to shape the attitudes and perceptions of tomorrow's leaders.

We support the enrollment management plan of the university through recruitment of new students, provide services necessary to admit and register students, maintain their academic records, support funding opportunities, provide outreach services, and verify completion of graduation requirements. In addition, we administer academic policies and provide student information to support both academic and administrative units of the university, contributing to an environment which fosters diversity and cultural awareness.
