Campus Incidents and Accidents Investigations
EHSRM is responsible for investigating reported incidents and accidents that may impact employees on campus. Procedures for investigating workplace incidents and accidents are defined in the Injury and Illness Prevention Program document and include:
- interviewing workers and witnesses
- examining the workplace for factors associated with the incident/accident
- determining the cause of the incident/accident
- taking corrective action to prevent the incident/accident from reoccurring
- recording the findings and actions taken
