Otter Sports Center

The Otter Sports Center is located on the corner of Inter-Garrison and 2nd Avenue. With many recent upgrades, the Otter Sports Center now provides enhanced opportunities for the CSUMB campus community to workout and play.

Spring 2025 Hours

General information

• The Otter Sports Center will be open for normal gym operation during home basketball games, with the exception of the actual court. The courts will remain closed on basketball and volleyball game days.
• Locker and shower areas are available for use but will be closed on basketball and volleyball game days. 
• Your Otter ID card is required upon entry.

Facility use

• The Otter Sports Center is free to all CSUMB students.  
• CSUMB Faculty/Staff must fill out a payroll deduction form in order to use the facilities.  Please stop by the front desk for more information.
• We currently do not offer memberships to anyone outside of the CSUMB campus community.

Equipment and services available 

• Strength training equipment and free weights.
• Cardiovascular equipment including treadmills, elliptical and spin bikes.
• TRX room.
• Basketball court.

Help us keep our facility safe

• Shirts and closed toe shoes are required to be worn at all times when working out in the facility for safety purposes.
• Wipe down and sanitize each piece of equipment after each use, and alert staff to assist you if needed.
• Be advised that current protocols are subject to change at any time to comply with state and county orders or regulations and university requirements. All members of the campus community are expected to fully comply with the protocols and guidelines outlined in this section to ensure the well-being of our campus community.
