The interim Chief of Police/AVP is John Short. Christine Pressas is the Administrative Analyst for the Chief of Police. Within UPD there are four police sergeants, two police corporals, eight police officers, Police Commander Yvonne Gordon, Lead Records and Evidence Specialist Doris Weilenmann, Records/Evidence Daisy Villegas-Jimenez, one Records student assistant, and one vacant investigator.
Reporting to the Chief of Police is the Emergency Manager, Ken Folsom and the Director of Transportation and Parking, which is currently vacant. Reporting to Ken Folsom are four volunteers and one Emergency Management Student Assistant. Reporting to the Director of Transportation and Parking are an Administrative Analyst, Valeria Estrada-Gomez, the Community Service Program Specialist Tricia Ferrante, Parking Supervisor Lupe Cabeca, and Transportation Program Coordinator Raju Ceerla.
The Community Service Program Specialist oversees twenty four Community Service Officers. The Parking Supervisor oversees a Parking Coordinator and four Parking Officers. The Transportation Program Coordinator oversees one Transportation student assistant.
