Thanks to CSUMB's Information Technology Department, the library now has close to 200 wifi hotspots and over 30 laptop computers available for student check out. These are popular and most hotspots are now checked out. Laptops are still be available.
For students within 25 miles of the CSUMB campus, hotspots and laptops are available for library curbside pickup. The library will mail wifi hotspots and laptops to a student's address if they reside beyond the 25 mile radius of CSUMB.

A one-hour introductory Zoom session on the free citation management program Zotero. After this session, you should be able to:
- describe key features of Zotero
- install the Zotero desktop program and the Zotero Connector
- gather citations from a variety of search tools using Zotero
- use Zotero within Word to insert in-text citations and bibliographies in the format of your choice (e.g., APA)
No registration required. Open to students, staff, and faculty. You will need headphones or speakers (microphone useful but not required). If you have questions, please contact CSUMB Business Librarian Stephen Fadel < sfadel@cusmb.edu >.

For a limited time, California State University-affiliated authors (includes faculty, staff, students, and administrators) can elect to publish open access in eligible Elsevier journals at no extra cost, the article processing charge (apc) is waived.
- manuscripts must be submitted between January 1, 2020 and December 31, 2021
- authors must be affiliated with California State University

There were twelve instruction sessions held during fall 2020 for classes from the College of Business. Some of these sessions were fairly informal. For example, I met with a couple of classes on Zoom and provided research assistance to student groups in different breakout rooms. Something new and different!
