October 2019 marked the publication of the seventh edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (the library owns two copies). Now, when citing webpages, users no longer need to preface the url with "Retrieved from" (there are exceptions). Also, for an article without a doi from a database, users cite that article like they would cite an article in print. Here's an example—
Online journal article with no doi taken from the library's ABI/INFORM Collection database: New APA style
Stull, M. (2009). Balancing market and mission: A nonprofit case study. Business Renaissance Quarterly, 4(3), 129-152.
The APA portion of Purdue University's Purdue OWL is scheduled to reflect these changes (and others) in "early Spring 2020." The CSUMB Library's Citing Business Information Sources APA Style handout will be revised once Purdue Owl has been updated.
IBISWorld Industry Reports is moving to a new search interface called My IBISWorld. The move is scheduled for Wednesday, January 15, 2020. The new interface includes additions in content. Most notable changes are:
- New industry SWOT section added to each report
- Interactive charts
- An expanded industry Technology & Systems section
Despite the name—My IBISWorld—personal customization is not available for university subscribers. A link to the old version of IBISWorld (now called Classic IBISWorld) will be available until mid-2020. Click here to get a preview of My IBISWorld.
