Parental Leave (Maternity/Paternity/Adoption/Foster Care)

The university provides paid Parental Leave (Maternity, Paternity, Adoption, and Foster Care) benefits to certain employee groups, subject to certain restrictions. Employees requesting this type of leave must meet with Human Resources to discuss applicable benefits, such as Pregnancy Disability Leave job protection, pay options, Family Medical Leave job protections, and how other leave benefits are coordinated. Paid Parental Leave (Maternity, Paternity, Adoption, and Foster Care) runs concurrently with CSU Family and Medical Leave, except where Pregnancy Disability Leave job protection applies.

The Leave of Absence Request and Physician's Medical Certification are required. For more information, please call the Leaves Analyst (ext. 3584).
