Helen Rucker Center for Black Excellence
The Helen Rucker Center for Black Excellence engages and empowers African Diaspora students, faculty, staff, and community members through academic, professional, and cultural programming. The African Heritage Research Collaborative (AHRC) and the Mandla Mentoring Program are two of the Center’s signature programs. The Center serves as a regional hub for Black advancement, scholarship, and engagement.

Latiné Student Success Center, El Centro
The Latiné Student Success Center, also known as El Centro’s mission is to cultivate, strengthen, and advance an inclusive and empowering community for students, staff and faculty from a Latiné/Chicanx background and members from other marginalized groups to develop the skills, knowledge, and attitude necessary in order to flourish emotionally, socially, academically and professionally.
El Centro wants to foster authentic connections between Latiné students, faculty, & staff to increase the use of campus resources, improve retention and graduation, & strengthen students’ sense of belonging by focusing on 5 programmatic areas:

- Diversity, Advocacy, and Outreach
- Academic Programs and Support Services
- Professional/Leadership Development and Mentorship
- Research, Career Services, and Graduate Studies
