Hands-On Learning
Students have the opportunity at Cal State Monterey Bay to apply their classroom acquired knowledge to real-world applications through a wide-selection of hands-on learning programs.
Service Learning
We believe that every student college experience should include opportunities to contribute to programs that help others in the community that align with their passions and to have an opportunity to gain real world experience in their chosen field before they graduate. That’s why we made service learning a graduation requirement for all undergraduate students. Students generally complete two service-learning courses while at Cal State Monterey Bay: one lower division experience focused on civics and the community, and one upper division experience where they work directly with a faculty member to choose one that fits their career goals.
