An eligible employee is entitled to one (1) Personal Holiday each calendar year which must be used within that year. The scheduling of this holiday shall be by mutual agreement of the employee and the appropriate administrator in accordance with departmental leave time procedures. The increment of time taken for Personal Holiday is one (1) full-day of an employee’s regular work schedule; Part-time employees earn Personal Holiday on a pro-rata basis. This holiday cannot be carried over into the next calendar year. If the employee fails to take the Personal Holiday before the end of the year, the holiday shall be forfeited.
Casual Workers and Student Employees are not eligible to receive a personal holiday.
