A paid Emergency Leave may be granted by the university president in the event of a natural catastrophe or an emergency situation that places the health or safety of the employee(s) in jeopardy. This applies to all employees and is referred to as emergency leave. To be entitled to use emergency leave, the employee must be in active employment status.
