Bereavement or Funeral Leave is authorized leave with pay due to a death of a family member. Refer to the applicable collective bargaining agreement and related policies for the duration of leave allowed and the definition of eligible family members. To be entitled to use Funeral or Bereavement Leave, an employee must be eligible and in active employment status.
