Stand Up Paddleboard
Our stand up paddleboard trips take place at the Breakwater Cove of Cannery Row and allow students to explore what makes Monterey beautiful. No experience is necessary. Rentals and instruction are included in the price. Transportation is NOT included.
Surfing
Our surfing trips take place in Monterey and focus on learning how to surf. No experience is necessary. Rentals, instruction, and transportation are included in the price.
What to Bring
- Clothes you are comfortable getting wet in
- Bathing suit (recommended)
- Barefoot or waterproof sandals
- Water
- Snacks
- Sunglasses
- Sunhat
- Camera (optional)
Included in the price is the option to rent a wetsuit, spray pants, spray jacket, or booties. All participants are required to wear a life jacket.

Physical Preparation
No kayak or SUP experience is necessary, however, the ability to swim is highly recommended and you should be comfortable in the open water. Our kayak and SUP trips can range anywhere from an easy relaxing paddle in excellent weather conditions, to a slightly more challenging paddle in rough conditions. When the weather is nice and there is no wind resistance our paddles are relaxing and perfect for all experience levels and physical abilities. When the weather is a little more rough, the paddles can become slightly more challenging when paddling against the wind. These paddles may be better suited to participants in decent physical condition.
