Fitness Center

Otters, come and explore your new Fitness Center. We have cardio equipment, free weights, weight machines, and an open space for yoga or stretching.

Location

We are located in the University Center, building 29.

Hours of Operation

Monday through Friday
7:00 am - 8:00 pm

Saturday and Sunday
12:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Closure Dates

November 11 for Veterans Day.
November 23 - December 1 for fall break.
December 21 - January 20 for winter break.

March 29 - April 6 for spring break.
May 17 - August 24 closed for summer.

CSUMB Student Membership

CSUMB student membership has no cost. Sign up and our system will activate your card swipe access in 24-48 hours.

Once your card swipe is activated, we can swipe your Otter ID when you come in. A new membership must be completed at the start of each academic year.

Student Membership Process

1. Complete the MyRaft membership for the academic year. https://cglink.me/2hz/r1945307 
2. Bring your Otter ID or photo ID to the Fitness Center desk and we will check you in.

If you are having trouble, please stop by the Fitness Center and we will be happy to help get you signed up.

CSUMB Staff and Faculty Membership

October 2024 Trial Membership: EXTENDED

We have extended the Free Trial Membership for CSUMB staff and faculty through the fall 2024 semester. Free Trial Membership will end December 20, 2024.

Staff and faculty can sign up for a free trial membership.

If you do not have a MyRaft account.

2. Your MyRaft account will be created within three to five business days.
3. In the meantime you can sign a hard copy waiver at the Fitness Center desk.

Starting January 21 2025, CSUMB staff and faculty must have a current and active payroll deduction to use the Fitness Center.

CSUMB Staff and Faculty Membership Process

Stateside Employee

1. Complete and submit your Payroll Deduction Authorization Form.
   • Payroll Deduction request made before the tenth of the month are guaranteed to be deducted that month. Your membership will begin at the end of that month. 
   • Payroll Deduction requests made after the fourteenth will be included in the following month. Your membership will begin at the end of the following month.
   • We will receive a monthly list of current paid memberships and can verify for you if you are curious.

University Corporation Employee

At this time the Fitness Center is only open to CSUMB Students, and CSUMB staff and faculty with a current membership.
