Cancellations and Refunds
Send an email to Outdoor@csumb.edu stating that you will no longer participate in the trip you registered for. Please specify which date the trip starts on, and the activity. See below for refund eligibility.
Cancellation 14 days prior to trip departure date.
You are eligible for a full refund of your payment.
We will open your spot up to the next person on our list.
Cancellation 13 days or less prior to trip departure date.
You are not eligible for any refund. We will hold your full payment.

Why do you hold my payment if I don't cancel in time?
In accordance with our mission and vision for Recreation, we strive to make our trips affordable for a college student budget. We also strive to give every student the opportunity to attend our trips. When a student drops out at the last minute, it does not allow enough time to fill their spot denying a student on the waiting list the opportunity to attend the trip. It could also result in the entire trip being cancelled due to lack of funding. The cancellation deadline ensures that our trips are fully funded and booked to capacity allowing as many participants as possible on each trip.
