To check out special reserve materials, you will need your photo ID, which will be held if you do not have a current CSUMB ID card.
Due to collection's time-sensitive value and relevance, most material will circulate for 2 hours, however a few items may circulate for 1 day or 3 days.
Special Reserve items may not be renewed by telephone. Renewals must be done in person by the individual who initially checked out the item.

All Special Reserve items borrowed must be returned directly to the Library Circulation desk. If items are left on study tables, in the book stacks or in the computer labs, the individual who borrowed the item will be responsible for all fines incurred until it is returned to the Library Circulation Desk.
Overdue Special Reserve items are the responsibility of the borrower. See the Overdue, Recall and Replacement Fees Policy. Overdue Special Reserve items will be assessed $.50 per hour not to exceed $20 per item.
Lost or damaged Special Reserve items are the responsibility of the borrower. In such cases the borrower may replace the lost or damaged item with an identical or comparable item as determined by a Librarian, or pay the Library the replacement cost of the book/item (plus a $20 processing fee).
