Give now!

Your donation can support scholarships, new and improved facilities, research opportunities for students, or the university's greatest need.

The State of California provides a portion of our basic funding, but we rely on private donations to make up the remainder of our budget. Donations from individuals, foundations and corporations allow us to deliver an accessible, high-quality education to our students.

Your gifts make the difference.

We mourn the passing of a true supporter, leader, and friend

Sue Antle and daughters at Have A Heart

In the world of philanthropy the time honored phrase to recognize supporters is to give of “your time, treasures and talent”.

Sue Antle has been a friend to CSUMB since our opening in 1994. Along with her husband, Bob Antle and the Tanimura Family, she helped to create the philanthropic support that has made a lasting impact on our campus. The stunning Tanimura and Antle library is the iconic building that recognizes this contribution- but Sue had a very personal impact as well.

As one of the early leaders and committee co-chairs of the annual Have a Heart dinner and auction for student scholarships, Sue was an advocate for first generation students and the need to provide scholarships to ensure their education and graduation.

Sue’s “talent” with the many colorful and beautiful jackets she designed, sewed and donated to the auction was a very personal gift. These original jackets reflect her incredible talent as a seamstress. These jackets were some of the most popular and competitive auction items every year.

Sue also rallied her friends and family to participate in the event every year and her tables were some of the most animated and generous.

She gave her time, her treasure and her talent to our university and she gave it with an open heart. With her passing on March 7, we have lost a friend and our hearts our broken.

Featured gift opportunity

For the 60 to 70 percent of CSUMB students who qualify for some form of aid, scholarships can make the difference between achieving their educational goals or a dream deferred. If you wish to support scholarships, you may choose from one of our existing scholarship funds, which range from athletics to general need, or decide to establish a new named scholarship endowment fund.
