Submitting Financial Aid Documents
Financial Aid Verification
Some students are selected for Financial Aid Verification and may need to submit additional information. Submit only the documents listed on your "To Do List" to prevent any delays in processing your Financial Aid. To identify which documents are required from you:
- Log in to csumb.edu. From your Dashboard, click on OASIS
- In OASIS, navigate to Main Menu > Self Service > Student Center
- Required actions or documents are listed under the "To Do List" on the right hand side
Verification documents can only be submitted in person or via mail.
Documents are processed in the order received. Please allow 2-3 weeks for processing from the date your completed documents are received. During the peak period from March to August, processing can take up to 5 weeks. Check your email often for updates and notification of when financial aid can be accepted or declined.

Financial Aid Verification
Some students are selected for a review process called “Verification” and may need to submit additional information. Review your OASIS “To Do List” regularly for any required items to avoid delays in the processing of your financial aid.
To view your “To Do List”
- Log in to csumb.edu. From your Dashboard, click on OASIS
- In OASIS, navigate to Main Menu > Self Service > Student Center
- Required actions or documents are listed under the "To Do List" on the right hand side
Financial Aid Requirements
If you received a “Financial Aid Requirements” item on your “To Do List,” go to CSUMB Student Forms to view, complete, and submit the required forms and documents.
One your first visit to CSUMB Student Forms, you must complete a one-time account creation process. You will be asked for basic information to validate your identity so an electronic signature can be used on financial aid forms. Please ensure your first name, last name, date of birth, and social security number/Dream Act ID match exactly what you provided on your FAFSA/CADAA:
- Go to CSUMB Student Forms
- Click ‘Create Account’ link
- Enter/confirm your student information
- Click ‘Create Account’ button and log in
If you received Error Code 1010, please compare your log in information with what was provided on your FAFSA/CADAA.
If you are required to submit a non-filing statement or a tax return transcript, go to irs.gov or call (800) 829-1040.
If you do not see any action items on CSUMB Student Forms, please contact the Financial Aid Office.
Financial Aid Identification
Important: If you received a “Financial Aid Identification” item on your “To Do List,” you must complete this identification requirement before you can log in to CSUMB Student Forms.
Priority Document Processing Due Date
The priority document processing date to submit all documents for the 2024 Aid Year is April 21, 2023. You must meet this deadline to ensure priority for financial aid processing, potentially qualify for limited grant funding, and/or consideration for a payment extension.
