Students may add or drop a class before the first day of instruction and within the designated add/drop period. To add or drop a class, follow the instructions on your program page or contact your program coordinator for assistance.

Students enrolled in Extended Education degree-seeking programs may add or drop classes online during open enrollment periods. 

Add/Drop Guidelines

  • Classes shorter than 4 weeks: Must be added or dropped before the class begins
  • 4–5 week classes: Must be added or dropped within the first 2 days of class
  • 8–10 week classes: Must be added or dropped within the first 3 days of class
  • 11–16 week classes: Must be added or dropped within the first 2 weeks of class

Course Withdrawal

Adding or dropping a course after the add/drop period is not permitted, except in cases of a serious and compelling reason. Students must provide supporting documentation and obtain approval from the Undergraduate & Graduate Studies Dean.
