You've Been Admitted, now what?
Congratulations on your acceptance to Cal State Monterey Bay. We know you’re excited about becoming an Otter, but before you can move onto campus and start your college life, you need to take care of a few more details.
Follow these steps to secure your spot as a Cal State Monterey Bay Otter!
Start Here!
Step 1: Confirm Your Enrollment
Make it “Otter Official” and commit to Cal State Monterey Bay by paying your $100 confirmation fee by May 1, 2025.
Step 2: Apply for Financial Aid
The 2025–26 FAFSA® form is now available for all students and contributors. Apply for financial aid to secure funding for your education. Visit our financial aid page for more information on scholarships and aid available to future Otters.
Step 3: Apply for Housing
With over 50% of students living on campus, we strive to provide an immersive residential experience for our Otters. Apply for housing by our May 1 priority deadline to secure your spot.
Step 4: Submit all Final Official Transcripts and Test Scores
It’s the little details that matter, so don’t forget to share all final official transcripts and test scores with us by July 8, 2025.
Step 5: Register for New Student Otter Orientation
You’re almost there! Join us for a one-day orientation session where you will get registered for classes, check out campus resources and student clubs, pick up your Otter Card and of course get to meet your future floor mates and study buddies.
