Undergraduate Students in Marine Science

General Overview - Marine Science B.S.

In order to graduate, you will need to complete your general education and university requirements. Marine Science majors must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 and must earn a C- or above in each course that serves as a prerequisite for a more advanced course.

Marine Science majors complete GE area B1, B2, B3, B4 by taking Math, CHEM, and BIO courses included in the Marine Science core, and D-General Social Science with their Economics course. Students also complete the GWAR, upper-division service learning, and upper-division GE area B within their MSCI core courses.

COS Student Emergency Fund Application - The College of Science (COS) Dean's office, in conjunction with the Office of Financial Aid, provides funding for COS students so that they may apply for a small (up to $500) grant to assist with emergency expenses that endanger their enrollment and/or success at CSUMB.
Add/Drop - Requests to ADD or DROP a class are completed online only
Incomplete Grade Contract - Used for submitting an "I" grade. Signatures from both the Instructor and Student are required. The completed form is submitted to the Department Chair, Dr. James Lindholm, jlindholm@csumb.edu, Forest Hall (Bldg 49)
Photo Release - In order for photos of any identifiable individual to appear on the MSCI website, social media, and/or other platform of communication and advertisement, a photo release must be completed and submitted by the individual and filed by the department.
Volunteer/Persons of Interest -  Forms required for volunteer research position, future hire, etc.
