Monterey Bay Justice Project

Justice Project students create poster to help Monterey County residents get a Public Defender

Students with the Monterey Bay Justice Project created content and designed a poster that provides information on how to obtain a Public Defender in Monterey County.

The poster was developed by Samuel Johnson, Noah Friedman and Joel Soria who wrote about the need for a Legal Aid program at Cal State Monterey Bay.

The group found that most students, as well as the public, do not know what to do if they are facing court proceedings and cannot afford legal counsel.

The poster is designed to guide people in how to get a Public Defender in Monterey County because not all California counties have the same process. The content is in both English and Spanish so as to help our diverse population.

If you would like a copy of the poster to display, please email us at justiceproject@csumb.edu.
