Immigration Support for Faculty, Staff, and Student Employees
The following CSU resources are available to address immigration enforcement activity that may affect members of the CSU community. All CSU employees are encouraged to review and share this information and to share Resources for Undocumented Students with concerned students. Information and resources addressing federal policy updates that impact the CSU are available on the CSU Federal Updates webpage.
If an immigration officer asks you to identify a student or employee, requests employee or student records or information, or requests access to campus areas:
- Follow the instructions on the Immigration Protocol Card
- If an immigration officer declares that exigent circumstances* exist and demands immediate access, comply with the officer’s request and contact UPD immediately
- If federal officials or agents approach you regarding immigration status, please refer them to our Title IX/DHR Director, Nicholas Babaian and the AVP for Community and Belonging, Nizhoni Chow-Garcia
- Officials or agents can also be directed to the Title IX/DHR Office, located in Gavilan Hall, Building 201, Suite 211.
- Contact CSUMB Police Department at 831-655-0268 if the officer or agent does not leave. Call 911 if you are concerned about your physical safety.
