Talent Acquisition and Workforce Administration
Looking to fill a vacancy? Create a new position? We can help.
The recruitment process at Cal State Monterey Bay incorporates all federal and state regulations, CSU collective bargaining agreements, and university and CSU system policies.
Recruiting and Staffing Services
If you have a vacant or newly created position, the Cal State Monterey Bay Human Resources team can help, from writing job descriptions to forming search committees.
We offer resources for position types and hiring situations, including:
Faculty Recruitment
Find resources related to recruiting faculty and academic administrators, including part-time and tenure-track positions.
Short-Term/Emergency Staffing
Learn more about short-term staffing needs that do not require a full recruitment search. Examples include filling a position due to a leave of absence, resignation, reassignment, or needing additional help during peak activity.
Student Employment
Get help hiring a student worker, graduate assistant (GA), instructional student assistant, or teaching associate. Current Otters make great employees!
Workforce Administration
In addition to helping with staffing and recruiting, the HR team provides assistance and resources related to performance evaluation, employee development, offboarding, and post-retirement employment.
University Corporation
Some Cal State Monterey Bay services are managed by the University Corporation, which means specific positions and employee resources fall under this entity. While fully integrated into CSUMB, it is a legally separate, nonprofit corporation.
