HACU Conference

Two Guardian Scholars, Marie Alonzo and Tresse White along with Associate Director, Kim Barber attended HACU (Hispanic Association of Colleges & Universities) Conference in Atlanta October 6-8th!

Attending the HACU conference was an extraordinary opportunity that Guardian Scholars provided for me. I had a wonderful experience meeting students, staff and recruiters from all over the country, which gave us a chance to network with other students and future potential internships. Also, leaving from there with a free 3 night stay at Atlanta Marriott and a $100 visa gift card was a plus.
Tresse White, Senior, Psychology Major
The HACU Conference was an amazing experience where I learned how to establish myself online using LinkedIn and other social media to better my connections with businesses and organizations...very beneficial to help widen my network. I will never forget the opportunity Guardian Scholars gave me to become a better version of myself.
Marie Alonzo, Senior, Collaborative Health and Human Services (CHHS) Major
