Whether you’re graduating in the fall, spring, or summer, you are a part of the Cal State Monterey Bay’s Class of 2025 - CONGRATULATIONS! A great way to commemorate your time here is to donate to the Senior Class Gift. Graduates who make a gift of $20.25 or more will receive a Philanthropy Cord to wear at Commencement.
All donations raised by the 2025 Senior Class can be designated towards the new otter statue or student scholarships. The Alumni Vision Scholarship endowment will help future Cal State Monterey Bay students to stay in school, complete their degree and continue the opportunity of higher education.
Remember, no donation is too small.
Why should I donate?
The history of giving a Senior Class Gift is a deep rooted tradition among all American universities. U.S. News & World Report considers giving participation rate a factor in their rankings. Cal State Monterey Bay currently ranks #10 in the Top Public Schools Western Regional Universities category. Since it is a new tradition at Cal State Monterey Bay, it is a great way to leave philanthropic footsteps for future Otters to follow and highlight the Strength of Us!
Additionally, graduates who make a gift of $20.25 or more will receive a Philanthropy Cord to wear at Commencement to display your pride, appreciation, and support for a place that has made an impact in your life. You will be able to pick up your cord at GradFest on April 9-10 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Otter Student Union Ballroom. If you are unable to attend GradFest, please email smangan@csumb.edu to schedule an alternate pick-up time.
The Otter Raft continues to grow when new alumni give towards a stronger future. Your contribution will directly impact student academic success and make a difference to CSUMB students!

Give meaning to your gift!
Graduates: Make a gift in honor of a parent or family member or a special faculty or staff/member at Cal State Monterey Bay.
Staff/Faculty: Give in honor of a student such as a student assistant or someone you are proud to see successfully graduate!
Family members/friends of graduates: Give in honor of your graduate!
