Admitted Transfer Day 2024 Staff and Faculty Support
In just a few weeks, we'll have the incredible opportunity to welcome hundreds of newly admitted transfer students and their families to Cal State Monterey Bay. This event marks a pivotal moment in their lives, filled with excitement, discovery, and connection. To ensure their experience is nothing short of amazing, we need your help!
We are asking you to participate and make a real difference in how our potential students and their families experience and perceive CSUMB.
Please complete the brief form below to indicate how you will be involved in creating lasting memories for our guests.
Additionally, we'll have a Zoom meeting on April 19 at 10:30 a.m., where you'll get an update, and gain detailed insights into the day's agenda, your potential roles and responsibilities, and how you can contribute to making this event unforgettable. Even if you can't make it to the live session, a recording will be sent afterward for your convenience. Thank you for considering joining us on this journey. Together, let's make this a memorable day with an experience and show our pride as well as our signature philosophy: a campus where you belong!

All events are voluntary, but we hope to see many Otter staff and faculty participate. Please seek approval or communicate with your supervisor when attending campus events and review the guidelines below for non-exempt and exempt employees.
After getting approval from your appropriate administrator, ensure you input your time worked correctly in CMS absence management for Compensatory Time Off (CTO) or Overtime on the timesheet.
For non-exempt employees working a:- 4-hour shift: make sure to note the hours worked.
- 8-hour shift: make sure to note the hours worked, excluding the 30-minute meal break.
- 12-hour shift: make sure to note the hours worked, excluding the two 30-minute meal breaks.
For those earning CTO for hours worked, select "CTO Premium Earn."
For those requesting cash compensation for hours, make sure to select "OTPR - Overtime Paid @ 1.5."

However, when it is necessary for exempt employees to work extended hours, managers may authorize informal adjustments in work hours. Exempt employees may request to take an informal day off to work the extended hours of Admitted Otter Day. This informal day is not banked for future use; it is to be used as a shift change for the work week in exchange for working extended hours. If the informal adjustment in the same work week is unable to be arranged, then within the same pay period is preferred.
