Lyn is from Monterey County and has lived in Salinas their whole life. They are a first-generation college student who began their Computer Science degree at Hartnell Community College before transferring to CSUMB to complete their Bachelor’s. Lyn joined the Service Learning Institute to help students engage with their local communities to discover meaningful ways to contribute. With a background in technology and a passion for environmental stewardship, they are interested in how innovation can support conservation efforts and increase accessibility for all communities.

Lyn is passionate about environmental conservation, digital accessibility, and equitable access to education. They are especially interested in how technology can be used to protect marine environments as well as make scientific and educational resources more inclusive and accessible to our community.
