How to apply

Submit your application online through Cal State Apply. Please note that a non-refundable $70 application fee is required.

As part of the application, you will also need to submit:

Provide a portfolio showcasing your strongest work
A statement of purpose
Your official transcripts
Three letters of recommendation

Important dates

October 1, 2025: Applications open for the 2026–2027 academic year
November 30, 2025: Priority application deadline
February 20, 2026: Final application deadline for 2026–2027 admission
April 2026: Applicants are notified of their admission decisions
September 2026: Classes begin
