Assistant Professor plays key role in securing Cal Fire grant
Assistant Professor, Dr. John Olson, played a key role in securing a $227,591 grant awarded to CSUMB's University Corporation at Monterey Bay. The grant will cover San Benito and Monterey County’s fire prevention planning and mapping. In addition, it will provide CSUMB students with internship opportunities at Cal Fire to conduct landscape analysis. Students’ hard data and analyses will be utilized to facilitate firefighting efforts throughout the next two years.
