Academic Opportunities
Helping to prepare students for successful careers and lifelong learning in today’s rapidly changing job market.
Programs That Shape What’s Next
At Cal State Monterey Bay, academic programs are designed to prepare students for meaningful careers, community impact and lifelong learning. Across disciplines, students engage in hands-on experiences, applied research and partnerships that connect classroom learning to real-world challenges.
From the arts to education, business to science, our programs reflect the needs of our region and the ambitions of our students.
Opportunities That Transform Students and Communities
Arts, Humanities and Creative Practice
Students in the arts develop their creative voice while engaging with cultural, social and historical perspectives. Through studio work, performance and community-based projects, they build skills that translate into careers in the arts, education and beyond.
Athletics and Teamwork
Student athletes are supported both on the field and in the classroom with scholarships that help them pursue their academic and athletic goals. These scholarships expand access to higher education while helping student athletes balance academic achievement with continued growth, skill development and performance in their sport.
Business, Innovation and Entrepreneurship
Business programs prepare students to lead with integrity, think critically and adapt in a rapidly changing economy. Through applied learning experiences, students explore ethical leadership, entrepreneurship and real-world problem solving.
Education and Leadership
Future educators and leaders gain the knowledge and experience to make a difference in schools and communities. Programs emphasize equity, inclusion and practical experience through strong partnerships with local districts.
Science, Technology and the Environment
Programs in science and technology prepare students to address complex global and regional challenges, from climate change and sustainable agriculture to data science, engineering and marine ecosystems.
Health and Community Well-Being
Students engage in hands-on, interdisciplinary learning across public health, social work, kinesiology and collaborative health, gaining experience through community partnerships, fieldwork and applied research. These experiences prepare graduates to address complex health challenges and advance well-being in their communities.
Support What Makes These Opportunities Possible
Gifts to academic programs directly expand hands-on learning, support student research and fieldwork, and strengthen the facilities and partnerships that bring these experiences to life.
Your support helps ensure students have access to the opportunities that prepare them to succeed — and to make a lasting impact.
