Imagine College
Imagine College brings local high school students to CSUMB and Monterey Peninsula College for one to three weeks to participate in the Summer Scholar Institute (SSI). The program gives students a taste of college life and allows them to study a particular area of interest in order to gain college credit while they're still in high school. During SSI, students also have several opportunities for learning off campus in the form of various field trips. Imagine College predominantly serves the students of Seaside High School. As an additional bonus, a local resident donated money to provide a $4,000 scholarship to any student who graduates from Seaside High with a 2.5 grade-point average, attends two weeks of Imagine College while in high school, and gets accepted to a college or university. Scholarship opportunities will end this year with the graduating class of 2017.
