Volunteer and Service Rewards Program
Community Engagement’s mission is to enhance the culture of service at CSUMB by providing a range of community service opportunities and reward excellence in community engagement. This program is designed to recognize students and student organizations for their dedication to service throughout their time at CSUMB.
Terms and Conditions
All service hours must be logged with Community Engagement the semester they were completed. Service hours not logged through Community Engagement will not be counted.
Service hours completed from the first day of the semester (fall and spring) to the last day of the semester (fall and spring) will be counted.
The final day to log service hours is the Friday before finals week. Any service hours completed after the submission deadline will count for the following semester.
Service Learning hours will not be counted.
Service hours will build off previous semester with the exception of summer and winter terms.
Hours logged during summer will count for fall term. Hours logged during winter break will count for spring term.
Individual Service Awards will be rewarded on a semester basis.
Group Service Awards will be annually and given before the end of the academic year.
