Happy Holidays!

WLC Staff members are working from home Dec 23, 2024 and Jan 2-3, 2025. The campus will be closed from Dec. 24, 2024, to Jan. 1, 2025, in recognition of the holiday season. Staff will return to the office January 6, 2025 and faculty return Jan 15, 2025. The first day of instruction for the spring term begins January 21.

The mission of the program in World Languages and Cultures is to prepare students to be active participants in an ever-shrinking and increasingly interdependent globe. We offer major programs in Spanish and Japanese, as well as minor programs and lower division GE language courses through which many students choose to meet the university language requirement.
