National Transfer Student Week
National Transfer Student Week is an annual event, every third week in October, where transfer students and the staff and faculty who support them are celebrated. Be sure to use #TransferStudentWeek to show your transfer pride and success. Transfer students are resilient, persistent, and self-advocate and we want to make sure everyone knows who you are and what you contribute to our campus.
Campus Life
At CSUMB, Campus Life provides opportunities for you to become a leader in one of our 24 sports clubs and 82 student clubs, represent the student body as a part of Associated Students, engage in service through the Community Engagement office, or participate in leadership conferences and events. You can make your mark by participating in our five intramural sports or attending an outdoor recreation trip or participating in the numerous on and off-campus events we host. Your involvement will allow you to forge great friendships and make the most of your time as a college student.
Education Abroad
As a transfer student, you are qualified to study abroad after you complete your first semester at CSUMB. The Education Abroad Office has more than 100 universities in more than 30 countries to choose from with a number of options to suit your individual needs. In addition, you are eligible to participate in National Student Exchange and study outside of California in 48 of the 50 U.S. states and U.S. territories. Visit Education Aboard to learn more about where you can participate in an exchange experience while completing your graduation requirements!
Tau Sigma National Academic Honor Society
Candidacy for membership in the CSUMB chapter of Tau Sigma is granted to those students who have transferred to CSUMB having completed at least one year at a prior institution and earned at least a 3.5-grade point average during their first term. Membership into Tau Sigma is conferred by a one-time invitation only. Eligible students will be contacted with an invitation email at the beginning of each fall semester.
