California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act (CANRA)
The California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act (“CANRA”) (Penal Code §§ 11164-11174.3), is state legislation designed to protect children from abuse and neglect by establishing legal obligations for "mandated reporters" and procedures. The California State University Executive Order 1083 (see Related documents & forms) defines the provisions of this legislation and, for purposes of this policy, all CSU employees, including University Corporation employees, are designated as mandated reporters.
