The Educational Opportunity Program at Cal State Monterey Bay supports first-generation and historically underserved students with advising, mentoring, and resources that promote academic success and personal growth. EOP fosters a sense of belonging and helps students thrive from admission to graduation.

At Cal State Monterey Bay, students have access to a wide range of academic support services designed to help them thrive. From tutoring and advising to research support and learning accommodations, these resources empower students to succeed in and out of the classroom.

Project Rebound connects students with a strong peer network, faculty mentors, and community advocates who understand the challenges of reentry and higher education. Together, we create space for healing, growth, and leadership.

Student Veteran Services at Cal State Monterey Bay supports veterans, active-duty service members, and military-connected dependents with VA benefit certification and personalized campus referrals. Rooted in the former Fort Ord Army base, the university honors the region’s strong military history while fostering a welcoming, student-centered community.

Guardian Scholars provides comprehensive support for students who have experienced foster care, offering year-round housing assistance, academic guidance and a strong community to help them thrive and reach their educational goals.

The Transfer Student Success Center helps students navigate the transfer process to Cal State Monterey Bay with advising, resources and support from application through enrollment.
