Service Leadership Opportunities
We understand that most (if not all) students need to work while attending college. Please know that as you fulfill your service learning requirements, there are opportunities for paid work in the context of service learning:
The short answer is "YES," as long as your workplace-based service at your place of work supports Service Learning course learning outcomes. Generally speaking, students who serve at their workplace create new programs, projects, or services that directly support course learning outcomes. To serve at your place of employment, please follow these instructions to ensure your employer is or becomes an approved community partner.

#CaliforniansForAll College Corps is an exciting statewide program that bridges the gap between college students and their community through service.
AmeriCorps VIP
AmeriCorps, a federal agency, brings people together to tackle the country’s most pressing challenges through national service and volunteering. AmeriCorps members and AmeriCorps Seniors volunteers serve with organizations dedicated to the improvement of communities. AmeriCorps helps make service to others a cornerstone of our national culture. Find out more about AmeriCorps.
The Napa County Office of Education is the lead agency for our AmeriCorps Volunteer Infrastructure Program (AmeriCorps VIP).

Service Learning Student Leaders (SL2)
During the Spring term and/or as needed, the Service Learning Institute also hires students each year to serve as Service Learning Student Leaders (SL2s) based in community agencies and service learning classes.
Student Assistants
As openings become available, the Service Learning Institute hires Student Assistants to assist with general office work and/or special projects. Look for job postings on OtterJobs. Students with Work-Study Awards are welcome to apply!
