Our newest facility, the Edward (Ted) Taylor Science and Engineering Building (#52), has officially broken ground and is scheduled to open in Fall 2027. This state-of-the-art building will feature administrative offices, modern teaching laboratories, and collaborative learning spaces designed to support innovation and hands-on education. The Departments of Marine Science and Mechatronics Engineering will share newly equipped laboratories, fostering interdisciplinary research and experiential learning opportunities, and NOAA offices will be located on the second floor. We extend our sincere gratitude to our generous donors whose support has made this exciting project possible.

Mechatronics Engineering student Alex Kim earned first place at the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) competition held February 11 in Tulare, California.
Alex’s award-winning research examined how operational parameters influence drone sprayer performance in agricultural applications, with a specific focus on identifying optimal conditions for drone-based spray treatments in leafy greens. The project aimed to advance efficiency and precision in modern agricultural practices.
