East Campus gas pipeline replacement project to improve safety, reliability

Pacific Gas and Electric will replace natural gas pipelines in East Campus starting Monday, Oct. 2, and continuing through May 2024 to enhance safety and reliability.

CSUMB Facilities Management has announced that Pacific Gas and Electric Company will replace natural gas pipelines in East Campus to help enhance natural gas safety and reliability. No interruption to in-home gas service is anticipated.

The project will include and could impact access to Schoonover Drive from Abrams Drive to Bundage Court, including all the courts between those two intersections in East Campus Housing. Each court will receive a notification before their portion of the work will begin. The project will start Monday, Oct. 2, 2023, and continue for approximately eight months through May 2024. Weather and other factors that affect safe working conditions may change the schedule.
