Information Security protects Cal State Monterey Bay’s systems, networks and data. Our team works to safeguard sensitive information, strengthen campus technology infrastructure and ensure compliance with CSU and university policies.

We partner with departments across campus to reduce risk, support secure operations and promote a culture of cybersecurity awareness.

What We Support

IT Contract Review
We review IT-related contracts to ensure accessibility standards are met and sensitive information is properly protected.

Security Awareness & Training
We provide campuswide education and training to help students, faculty and staff recognize and prevent cybersecurity threats.

Policy & Compliance Oversight
We support compliance with the CSU Information Security Policy and Standards, as well as campus requirements including:

• Accessible Technology Initiative (ATI)

• PCI equipment and system review

• Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
