Instructional Materials Accessibility Plan
Cal State Monterey Bay reviews and updates its Instructional Materials Accessibility Plan each year, or more often as needed, to ensure alignment with California State University Accessible Technology Initiative (ATI) guidance.
Our Approach
We are committed to making instructional materials accessible for all students and faculty. This work is guided by four core principles:
- Accommodation
We provide access through Student Disability Resources (SDR), the Center for Academic Technologies (CAT) and support from faculty and staff. We also adopt and improve third-party tools as they become available. - Proactive support
We offer ongoing professional development and resources through CSU partners, including SDAC, CAT, and the Center for Teaching, Learning and Assessment, to help faculty create accessible materials from the start. - Inclusiveness
Accessibility is a shared responsibility. Students, faculty, staff, administrators and publishers all play a role in creating inclusive learning environments. - Accountability
We prioritize action and transparency in improving accessibility across instructional materials.
Key Priorities
