Academic Advising Appointments

Academic Advisors are available for 30-minute appointments to discuss the following:

Create or Update Learning Plan

Collaborate with your academic advisor to create or update your learning plan. This will outline your future semesters and guide you to finish the requirements needed to graduate.

Major or Minor Change

Meet with your academic advisor to discuss any changes you want to make to your major or minor.

Scheduling Assistance

If you need to change your schedule and it affects your learning plan, like delaying a required class, it's a good idea to speak with your Academic Advisor.

Study Abroad Consultation

First, attend the Education Abroad 101 Workshop and meet with the Education Abroad Advisor. After selecting the courses you would like to take while studying abroad, schedule a meeting with your Academic Advisor for a course review. If you are planning to take major courses, you will need approval from the faculty chair of your major department. Please note that studying abroad may require more than one advising meeting.

Zoom Drop-in Advising

Drop-in meetings with your academic advisor are available on Zoom and last between 5 to 15 minutes.  You can find your advisor's drop-in times and zoom links on our main page

Please keep in mind that Zoom drop-in advising is a great way to receive quick assistance with courses scheduling or to confirm that you are enrolled in the correct courses based on your "My Advisement Report."

Additionally, drop-in advising is the best option for discussing major changes, adding a minor, or seeking assistance with forms and understanding policies.
