Register for an Admitted Otter Day in April

We highly encourage joining us for an Admitted Otter Day. This is a preview day for admitted students and their families to visit and tour campus. Those students who commit to attending CSUMB will be invited to a mandatory Orientation in June.

Next Steps for Admitted Students

Congratulations on your acceptance to Cal State Monterey Bay! There are few next steps to take to make things official.

Reserve your spot by making your $100 enrollment deposit by May 1st. You may pay this online through your student dashboard or by mailing a check.

If paying by check, be sure to include your full name and 9-digit student ID number on the check. Mail to:

Note: If the enrollment fee is a barrier for you and your family, you may submit an Enrollment Confirmation Deposit Waiver Request Form

Complete your FAFSA by March 3rd to secure funding, such as grants and scholarships. Visit our Cost & Financial Aid page to learn more.

Apply for Financial Aid

Complete your housing application by the May 1st priority deadline. Please note you can only apply for housing after you’ve made your enrollment deposit.

Be sure to share your official high school transcripts (and test scores, if applicable) by the July 8 deadline. 

  • For high school transcripts: Check in directly with your high school to order and send your electronic transcript. 
  • For community colleges: Request electronic transcripts directly from the college's registrar

For test scores and credit by exam:

  • Request that your test scores be sent directly to CSUMB from the testing agency (such as SAT, ACT, AP, etc.) 
  • Learn more about Credit by Exam.
