Student-faculty ratio
Our small-school atmosphere means you get plenty of face-to-face time with your professors and dedicated staff support.
With compassionate faculty, caring staff, and a connected alumni network, CSUMB is invested in your success. A welcoming student body means you’ll find your people and make lasting connections.
From the classrooms to residence halls, we offer a variety of support services, including programs that help first-generation, low-income, and migrant students adjust to and thrive at college.
“Neither of my parents, or my sister or my grandparents have gone to college, so it is a weird feeling to have such a big part of my life be completely foreign to my family: things like the intensity of finals, phenomena like imposter syndrome. Not only can I speak about these things to the staff and students in TRIO, but they often are the ones bringing these ideas up in workshops or one-on-one appointments. It means so much to know I am not alone.”
