Associated Students Programs and Services

Associated Students creates engaging programs and events for the CSUMB community ranging from Bingo and Concerts to our weekly Farmers Markets. Visit us on MyRaft to view and register for any upcoming events sponsored by Associated Students.

Associated Students

Box Office

Box Office provides movie and whale watching tickets year-round during the fall and spring semester, along with other seasonal tickets. We also offer tickets and transportation to various games and events. Be sure to check out our Otter Excursions!

  • Monday-Friday: 9:00am to 4:00pm
  • Saturday & Sunday: Closed

Box Office Policies

  • Otter ID number and Otter ID card required to purchase tickets
  • Box Office is cash only
  • Must be a currently enrolled CSUMB student
  • All sales are final
  • In order to ensure and provide opportunity to as many students as we can, there may be a maximum placed on the amount of tickets able to be purchased
  • Ticket numbers are limited and will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis

Monte Rey

Monte Rey is the official CSUMB mascot. Monte lives within the Associated Students and loves attending campus events & fostering school pride!

Interested in reserving Monte Rey for an upcoming on-campus event?

  • Requests for Monte are to be made by CSU Monterey Bay staff, students, or faculty only.
  • Requests must be made at least two weeks before the event.
  • Requests will be responded to on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Monte Rey can only be requested for a two-hour appearance and on-campus events.
  • Monte is required to have a changing space available. This is the responsibility of the requestor to identify the space.
  • Completion of this form is only a request and does not guarantee an appearance. Appearances are contingent on student assistant schedules. Confirmation and further instructions will be sent via email.

Farmers Market

Hosted by the Associated Students office, our weekly themed Farmers Market is the perfect way to support local vendors while enjoying a vibrant campus atmosphere. Students and supporters have the opportunity to purchase fresh food and unique goods, participate in themed activities, enter into raffles, and win prizes! All markets take place on select Thursdays during the fall and spring semester!

If you are interested in collaborating with Associated Students to host a Farmers Market, or if you are interested in being a vendor at the Farmers Market, please contact the AS Farmers Market Student Assistants at asfarmersmarket@csumb.edu.

Hammock Rentals

The Associated Students office offers free hammock rentals for students daily. To check out a hammock, fill out this form and head to the Associated Students office at the Otter Student Union, Room 304 to pick up your hammock. 

We currently have four hammock structures around campus; the locations are Divarty Quad, Manzanita Plaza grass area, North Quad Plaza grass area, and Sanderling Plaza grass area. These are available for students to use the rentable hammocks on, though they can also be utilized off campus as well.

Monte Royale is our Casino Night event during Welcome Back Week. Hang out with friends and enjoy a night of risk free poker.

Celebrate what it means to be an Otter with MB Madness, our annual RAFT Weekend Carnival! Enjoy food vendors and carnival games hosted by campus organizations and clubs!
