Understanding Your Costs

Planning for Summer Session starts with understanding your tuition and fee costs. Summer charges are based on the number of units you enroll in and your student classification, and may differ from fall and spring terms.

In addition to tuition, the following mandatory campus-based fees apply:

The $65 campus-based fee total is required for all enrolled students.

Nonresident students pay an additional:

$444 per semester unit

This charge is assessed in addition to tuition and all systemwide and campus-based fees.

Students who are not currently enrolled at Cal State Monterey Bay will be charged the Open University rate. Visit the Open University page for detailed tuition information and enrollment procedures.

Financial aid and scholarships for summer may be available to continuing Cal State Monterey Bay students.
