Diploma Information
Your degree, major and honors will be reflected on the diploma. Official concentrations and minors will only be reflected on your transcript. The degree conferral date is the last day of the academic term and will be printed on your official transcript and diploma. (This date may not be the same date as the commencement ceremony.)
If you earned a double major in the same degree, you will receive one diploma. If you earned a double major in two degrees (BA/BS) you will receive two separate diplomas.
Diploma Name
Beginning with the 2023-2024 graduating class, the diploma name will be used as the name printed on the diploma. If no action is taken to update your diploma name by the deadline, your diploma will reflect your primary/legal name on record with the university.
There may be some situations where having a different chosen name on your diploma can cause challenges. Please consider carefully the name you elect to print on your diploma.
Diploma Address
Diplomas are mailed to the Permanent Address on record in OASIS. To ensure your diploma is sent to the correct address, verify and update your Permanent Address in OASIS (Login to the CSUMB Dashboard, select OASIS and navigate to Self Service > Campus Personal Information > Addresses). Address changes must be submitted within three weeks of the end of the assessment period for the term in which you are graduating. Address changes submitted more than three weeks after your graduation term may not be included in our diploma order, and fees for a replacement may apply.
Student Personal Information Change (online form)
If you choose not to (or are unable to) submit the online form, you can submit the paper version of the form to the Campus Service Center.
Diploma Accuracy
Diplomas are mailed within four months of the end of the term. Students are encouraged to review their diploma upon receipt and contact the Office of the Registrar immediately to report any errors. If you do not receive your diploma within six months of the end of the term, contact the Office of the Registrar immediately to let us know.
Students may be eligible to receive a courtesy replacement of an original diploma due to non-receipt of diploma, printing error, or damage to the diploma during shipping. Please contact graduation@csumb.edu.
Errors that result from late or incorrect name or address changes will require the student to order a duplicate diploma and pay the corresponding fee. Diplomas reported as not received more than six months after the graduation term will be treated as a reorder and will also require the student to order a duplicate diploma and pay the corresponding fee.
